PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
The Intergenerational Farmers Market Project (IFMP) is a 4 week program. Participants will meet once a week (on Tuesday April 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, from 4:30-6:30pm) at the Franklin Court Independent Living Community Room. There is no cost for participation in this program. This program is presented through a grant from Tufts Health Plan.

The goal of the program is to address social isolation for older adults through the integration of arts, culture and community building. The project will provide a setting for promoting intergenerational cultural exchange through storytelling and food. Over the course of the program, participants will assist in designing activities; engage in artist facilitated relationship building; experience new activities that will include music, crafts, and food preparation; share stories about their cultures, and design and execute a meal that represents their shared or combined cultures.
It is very important that those who sign up make every effort to attend the four sessions. There will be gift card incentives given out at the final celebration session to those who have attended consistently. Youth participants are eligible for community service hours.
